Lope National Park
Start Planning
Located in central Gabon, the Lopé National Park extends over 4970 km2 in a savannah zone dotted with gallery forests. Gabon's first protected area, the Lopé is also the country's first site to be included on UNESCO's prestigious World Heritage List, in the nature and culture category. The diversity of its fauna, its accessibility and the conditions for observing animals are particularly favorable, making the Lopé a mecca for tourists. The hordes of mandrills, the spectacular herds of buffalo, the elephants in the forest galleries and the gorillas in the marantaceae zones are just some of the animals that make Lopé such a popular tourist destination. the marantaceae zones. Rock engravings testify to the settlement of human communities in the area over 800,000 years ago.
We get there by 4x4, and the journey takes around 7-8 hours.
On site, we offer hikes, ascents of Mont Brazza, visits to the eco-museum, bike rides in the park and safaris.
